Pricing

Clear pricing, without buying the wrong thing first.

Start with the fixed-price Business Clarity Assessment. It shows what customers can find, where trust is being lost and what is worth fixing before you commit to a bigger website, visibility or support project.

Business Clarity Assessment

This is the default starting route when you are not sure what to fix, what to rebuild, or whether the problem is your website, Google presence, wording, reviews or enquiry path.

The review methodology page explains the nine areas and the relevant-checks approach. The commercial offer is simpler: one assessment, one report and an included one-hour findings discussion. You can use the report yourself, take it elsewhere, or ask me to quote the next piece of work.

If you would prefer a smaller starting point, you can request a free written first look or arrange a free 30-minute conversation. There is no obligation to continue with either.

Ask for the assessment
You're not locked in

The assessment does not lock you into more work.

If you want me to handle the next step, we agree the scope and price before anything starts. If you would rather do it yourself or hire someone else, the report still gives you a practical order of work.

What may follow

If the assessment shows work is needed, it usually falls into one of these scopes.

These are not packages to choose before the review. They show the usual shape and starting points for quoted work once the right problem is clear.

Already know exactly what you need? You can still ask for a direct quote.

Assessment first for unclear problems. Direct quote for clearly defined work.

Foundations

Online Presence Foundations

For getting the basic public presence into shape so local people can find you, trust you and contact you.

Usually follows when
The review shows missing basics, thin proof, unclear contact routes, or too much reliance on Facebook and word of mouth.
Smaller foundation fixes can be quoted separately Website-led foundation projects usually start from £550.

Typical work and fit
  • For newer businesses, sole traders, local services, or firms relying too heavily on Facebook or an unfinished website
  • Setting up or cleaning up your Google Business Profile so you show up when people search for what you do
  • A simple, fast-loading landing page or basic website where you need one
  • Business descriptions rewritten so they sound like a human wrote them
  • A straightforward way to collect customer reviews
Improvement

Online Presence Improvement

For improving an existing website or online presence that is visible but not doing enough useful work.

Usually follows when
The review shows weak wording, poor trust signals, slow pages, listing issues, or an enquiry path that creates doubt.
Focused improvement work from £450 For bigger, mixed jobs I will put together a specific scope and quote.

Typical work and fit
  • For businesses with a website or online profile that exists, but feels unclear, outdated, hard to trust, or unlikely to convert interest into enquiries
  • Rescuing your current site, making it load faster and tidying up the layout
  • Rewriting the copy so it clearly explains how you help people
  • Sorting out your local Google visibility
  • Getting your best reviews in the right places, with clear ways to get in touch
Ongoing

Ongoing Support

For keeping the useful online work maintained once the main foundations or improvements are in place.

Usually follows when
The review or project shows regular updates, listing checks, content support or maintenance will be more useful than one-off work.
Monthly support from £85 The monthly level depends on the update, visibility, content and support work agreed before it starts.

Typical work and fit
  • For businesses that want steady help after launch or improvement work, without hiring in-house or trying to keep every online detail current alone
  • Looking after your website's security, backups and small updates behind the scenes
  • Regular Google updates and listing checks
  • Sensible search engine work and content support
  • A quick monthly chat to focus on tasks that actually make a difference, not just ticking boxes

Useful extras

Smaller jobs can be quoted on their own.

Not every defined job needs a larger project. Google setup, review scripts, profile wording, copy reviews and similar tasks can be scoped separately when the requirement is clear.

The quote confirms the work included, the fixed cost and anything that remains outside scope.

How pricing works

Fixed where it can be, scoped where it should be.

I want you to feel safe about costs, without pretending that every business needs the exact same things.

The clarity assessment is a flat rate

The Business Clarity Assessment is the fixed starting point shown at the top of this page, so we both know where we stand before discussing larger projects.

Build work gets a proper quote

If something needs building, rewriting or fixing, you get a clear, fixed quote before any work starts. No surprise invoices.

Ongoing support is agreed monthly

If we do ongoing work, we agree the support level monthly. There are no long contracts or hidden extras.

Ownership and handover

You keep control of what you have paid for.

A website should not become a trap. These are the practical safeguards I use when a project includes a website, hosting or ongoing support.

Your domain is registered in your name If I manage registration or renewal, you remain the named owner rather than Local Roots.
You can access your website files You can request FTP access. For a WordPress site, that also includes access to the website database.
Hosted websites are backed up daily While your website is hosted through Local Roots, daily backups are retained for seven days.
Accessibility is checked before handover New sites use WCAG 2.2 Level AA as the technical baseline, with manual and automated checks across the finished pages and journeys in scope.
Monthly support can be cancelled at any time Support continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. There is no long cancellation notice designed to keep you locked in.
Moving elsewhere does not carry a transfer fee You keep access to your files and domain, including the database for WordPress sites, and paid hosting continues to the end of its current period.

Where a new site needs privacy and cookie pages, I provide a baseline version and consent controls. You remain responsible for checking that they accurately describe your business and data use; I can help with updates, but this is not legal advice. Project-specific details are confirmed in your quote and the Terms and Conditions.

Not sure where you fit?

Send a few details and I will tell you whether the fixed assessment, a small defined job or a project-specific quote is the right next step.
